Oakcrest is nestled in the beautiful Kamas Valley and is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Up to 3,000 girls attend Oakcrest each summer. Established in 1958, Oakcrest now serves 102 stakes in the Salt Lake valley and is open to young women who have just completed the 7th grade.
The camp runs for 10 weeks of the summer, with 9 to 11 stakes attending each week. Activities include: service projects, indexing, archery, zip line, giant swing, gun range, crafts, hiking, obstacle course, basketball, volleyball, singing, spiritual classes and lessons, and much more. Meals are served in a large main lodge, and the campers stay in cabins with bunks under the supervision of a counselor. A staff of amazing young-adult women is hired each summer to run the camp.
Oakcrest activities provide meaningful and fun experiences that foster spiritual and social growth.
Oakcrest will only register girls who have just completed 7th grade. Seventh grade young women who do not live in a participating stake are welcome to come to Oakcrest!! You may register through Open Enrollment. Girls are only allowed to attend Oakcrest once. Open enrollment registration begins April 1, 2020. Participating stakes will register in March, so space is limited! Registration will close two weeks prior to each week.
