What to bring to Oakcrest Camp

Meet at the Central Busing Location at 5735 S. Fashion Boulevard in Murray, Utah. Monday morning arrival time is 8:00 a.m. and Friday afternoon arrival time is 12:30 p.m.  Please come dressed and ready for camp. NO shorts, leggings, capris, skirts, or pajamas. NO slippers, sandals or flip flops.

Be sure to label all belongings with first & last name and phone number.

  • Warm Sleeping Bag
  • Pillow
  • WARM Pajamas
  • Long Pants or sweat pants (At least 2 pairs)
  • Shirts (no sleevelss or tank tops)
  • Sweatshirts*
  • Underwear
  • Extra Bra and Clothes for Foam Slide
  • Socks (Must be worn at all times. Knee-highs are strongly suggested to prevent tic bites.)
  • Shoes for Hiking (closed toed shoes only)
  • Knee-High Socks for Hiking*
  • Second Pair of Sturdy Shoes (No sandals)
  • Rain Jacket or Rain Poncho*
  • Bandana or Scarf* (Used for Trek activity)
  • Small School Backpack (For Hike)
  • Towel, Washcloth, Soap
  • Shampoo & Conditioner* (One shower per week)
  • Personal Toiletry Items
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
  • Sunscreeen
  • Scriptures (no cell phones)
  • For the Strength of Youth Booklet
  • Journal or Notebook
  • Pen

  • Medication (Bring original bottles sealed in 1 Ziplock bag, along with a small card listing the camper’s name and instructions for each medication.  Send a separate bag for over-the-counter meds.)

(Campers will not visit the Trading Post every day)

Campers are allowed 4 luggage items:

  1. Sleeping Bag
  2. Pillow
  3. Large Duffle Bag or Medium Suitcase
  4. School-Size Backpack

Do not over pack! Remember, you will be carrying all your items up a hill to your cabin.

Labeling Items Brought to Oakcrest

You will be getting colored tape from your stake leader to help identify your luggage.  On Monday morning, you will take your pillow and backpack on the bus and put your sleeping bag and luggage bag in the compartment under the bus. If you registered through Open Enrollment, please mark your own luggage with standard grey duct tape before coming to busing on Monday.

All of the above items need to be “FLAGGED” with your stake’s colored duct tape and the CAMPER’S NAME and PHONE NUMBER written clearly in permanent marker.
